From 1956 to 1960, she studied at the Attached High School of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.

From 1960 to 1965, she studied at the Printmaking Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. After graduation, she worked as art editor at Guangdong Slide Show Making Factory

From 1979 to 2002, she worked as a teacher at the Attached High School of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, and also served as director of professional teaching and research department, and professor of sculpture; she has been engaged in sculpture creation after retirement.
