Born in Shantou in April 1936, national-level artist.

He moved to Guangzhou in 1953 and worked as an art designer in Guangzhou Cultural Park since 1953

He worked in Guangzhou Sculpture Studio in 1959, and was appointed as the creator later. 

He served as deputy director, director of Guangzhou Sculpture Studio since 1981.

He was appointed as dean of Guangzhou Sculpture Academy in 1985.

He was granted as an honorary dean in 1998. 

Now, he serves as member of China Artists Association, director of China Sculpture Institute, member of National Urban Sculpture Committee, vice chairman of Guangdong Artists Association, vice chairman of Guangzhou Cultural Federation, and chairman of Guangzhou Municipal Artist Association
