Born in Nanxiong in December, 1939

Graduated from Sculpture Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1964.

In 1978, he started his teaching career in the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.

Former officer of Sculpture Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, dean and supervisor of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, visiting professor of Tsinghua University, director of China Artists Association, deputy director of Sculpture Arts Committee, executive director of China Sculpture Institute, vice chairman of Guangdong Artists Association. He enjoyed the government special allowances.
